Aluminum Bronze Sand Castings
Leitelt Brothers has over 100 years of experience designing and manufacturing high-quality aluminum bronze sand castings. We offer a full range of Value-Added Services and Additional Capabilities that can be added to any project.
Aluminum bronze alloys generally contain 9-12% aluminum and up to 6% iron and nickel. These alloys have superior corrosion resistance, high strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Alloys with over 10% aluminum content can be heat treated for superior tensile strength. They exhibit good casting and welding characteristics and are popular alloys for casting. Considered non-sparking, they are often used for parts in environments at risk for explosions or fire. The most popular aluminum bronze alloys used for castings are UNS C95200 to C959000.
Parts cast using aluminum bronze alloys include exposed to saltwater, corrosive liquids, non-oxidizing acids, and industrial process fluids, and high wear and heavy-duty environments.
