Sand casting is the oldest method of casting. It is also the most versatile, has the lowest set up cost and is the easiest and most cost effective to modify. Because of these features, sand casting is ideally suited for making low and medium volume production castings and converting welded parts to castings. LB Foundry provides custom sand castings that can be produced with a variety of surface finishes, dimensional precision, finish allowances and draft. This flexibility affords engineers and manufacturers wide latitude in design to meet specific requirements, such as producing large castings.
